The Gerry Beaudoin Trio with Special Guest Harry Allen
Monday, August 5, 8pm. The Gerry Beaudoin Trio features Bob Nieske on acoustic bass, his son Gerard Beaudoin on vibes, and Bart Weisman on drums. Since graduating from The Berklee College of Music, Jazz guitarist Gerry Beaudoin has carved out a career as a leader, arranger, and guitarist. His first national success was with the Boston Jazz Ensemble. Gerry then went on to make two critically acclaimed Gerry Beaudoin Trio recordings with mandolin titan, David Grisman. Gerry has performed or recorded with Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, Jay McShann, Dick Johnson, John and Bucky Pizzarelli, Dave McKenna, Alan Dawson, Karrin Allyson, and many more. Gerry was the founder of the New Guitar Summit which featured the legendary J.Geils and blues icon Duke Robillard. Tenor saxophonist Harry Allen is one of the bright stars in jazz and has over thirty recordings to his name. Harry has performed at jazz festivals and clubs worldwide, frequently touring the United States, Europe, and Asia. Harry has performed or recorded with Rosemary Clooney, Tony Bennett, Ray Brown, Hank Jones, Scott Hamilton, Harry 'Sweets' Edison, Kenny Burrell, Herb Ellis, John Pizzarelli, Bucky Pizzarelli, Jeff Hamilton, and Warren Vache.
